How to Celebrate Valentine's Day During MCO

Even though we may be under a lockdown, that doesn't mean there aren't any ways for us to celebrate Valentine's Day. Couples could take this opportunity to try celebrating the big day in ways they never did before — who knows, they might find it to be more fun than they thought it would be!

Breakfast in bed

What could be better than surprising your partner with a breakfast in bed that you prepared? Be sure to plan ahead on the meal you're going to make —
make sure you have all the necessary ingredients the day before. It's a sweet, lovey-dovey way to start Valentine's Day off! 😍

Have a movie marathon

This is especially fun if you have a backlog of things to watch! Choose something that the both of you love or something that you've never watched before, get some snacks ready, and get cosy before hitting the play button. If the two of you aren't living together, you could still watch the same movie separately at the same time and have an after-movie discussion through a video call 🎬🍿

Play games together

Whether it's video games, board games, or card games, games draw people closer together. As 2020 has shown us with games like Animal Crossing and Among Us, games have the power to bridge physical distances and keep people connected. Pick a game you and your partner love playing together — for classic games like chess or Monopoly, you don't even need the physical versions of the games to play them since online versions are available 🎮👾

Set up an indoor camp

Remember the time you were a kid and you made an indoor camp of your own? There's no reason why you couldn't make one when you're an adult too! Put up a tent in your living room space, decorate it with some beautiful lights, make it comfortable with some pillows and blankets, and cuddle up with your partner. This is a great way to bond together and to speak your mind honestly about various things ⛺️

Plan a dinner date

Just because you're in lockdown, it doesn't mean you can't dress up and plan a dinner date! If you're living separately, you could still have dinner together with your partner via video call. Set the mood by lighting a candle on your dinner table, dim the lights, and have a good conversation over a delicious meal 🍽🥘
